With more and more people wanting to extend their stay, people have found an interesting way to achieve this extension. While tourists can opt for extending their stay with the in-country service offered for visit visa holders, most people are opting to fly out of the country and then returned back on a fresh visa. This is supposedly a more cost-effective way of extending one’s stay, according to travel agents in the UAE. Here is more about it.
Tourists Prefer To Fly Out Of Fujairah & Come Back With A New Visa?
SalamAir, a low-cost airline in Oman, recently introduced services from Fujairah to Muscat twice a week. As flight tickets are generally around AED200, it has become a go-to flight for tourists. This is especially true for those who are wanting to make a tourist visa change run, according to a report by Khaleej Times. The report quoted travel agents, mentioning that since the service is quite cost-efficient, visit visa holders often prefer to fly out of the country from Fujairah and come back on a fresh visa. They especially consider this option, as even though visit visa holders can extend their visa from inside the country, it is valid only for a month. So, keeping the cost and validity of the extension available within the country itself, several visitors are preferring to fly out of the country and come back on a fresh visa again!

Why Are They Preferring This Option?
The report also quoted travel agents mentioning that the rush for visit visa extensions has increased significantly this year. Moreover, the visa change package from Fujairah can generally cost anywhere between AED1050 to AED1250. As it happens, the Fujairah package also includes a complimentary pick-up and drop service from Dubai and Sharjah. Not to mention, the free shuttle service helps visitors save on bus or taxi fares while they travel to Fujairah.
So, the recently introduced flight is a cost-effective way for visit visa holders to extend their stay in the country, according to travel agents.
