Himachal Pradesh is a preferred tourist destination for most people. The state is witnessing heavy rainfall which can create a problematic situation. And since they receive tons of tourists, the tourism department has issued certain guidelines that need to be taken into account. The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department Issues Guidelines
Himachal Pradesh Tourism Chief RS Bali issued instructions to ensure the safety of visitors and locals under the state’s constant downpours. According to the Tourism Corporation of Himachal Pradesh, the state’s everyday operations had not been affected by the weather, therefore there was no need to be alarmed.
According to a Hindustan Times report, he stated that the state’s schools, colleges, and offices are open, thus there is no “state of emergency”. He further continued by saying that nothing has prevented Himachal Pradesh from operating as normal.
He continued by saying that the state’s tourism department considers its duty to provide guidance to tourists and that both residents of the state and visitors should be aware of certain warnings.

Visitors are urged to drive safely and keep their mobiles in a location where they can access them in case they become stranded due to rain. It is suggested that travellers start their trekking trips with a knowledgeable guide.
Roads And Highways Are Open For Everyone
Additionally, he stated that all roads in the state were open and that no state or federal routes were closed as a result of the rain. He pointed out that all highways are open and anyone can travel freely throughout Himachal Pradesh.
The Chief of the Tourism Department urged residents of the state to heed any given warnings and instructed visitors to register with local authorities so that they can make contact if they become lost or stuck while hiking.
He pointed out that as the head of the tourism division, he felt compelled to invite people to take advantage of the rain, fog, and mist by advising them to heed the warnings.

The majority of the state will likely get rain during the next three to four days, according to the Indian Meteorological Department.
