Travel enthusiasts! if you’re planning a sojourn to the gorgeous snowcapped mountain destination of Ladakh, then here’s news for you. The Union Territory of Ladakh has updated its travel guidelines starting from March. So, read on to know the new Covid-19 travel rules that include testing, quarantine and more.

Ladakh Covid-19 Travel Rules You Need To Know

Fully vaccinated travellers to Ladakh don’t need a negative Covid-19 certificate. However, partially or unvaccinated tourists need to take a Covid-19 test, not older than 72 hours. This applies to both air and land tourists. Anyone who tests positive will be quarantined in the quarantine facility. The notice issued by the Union Territory of Ladakh warns that any fraudulent test certificate will be strictly dealt with.

Moreover, any traveller suspected to have Covid-19 symptoms as per the Aarogya Setu App shall go under home quarantine for 7 days. If they have covid-19 symptoms they must inform the District Surveillance Officer of the specific Ladakh district. Hotels, homestays and other accommodations in Ladakh must maintain the travel history of guests and do regular screening.
