Here’s what judges loved the most!

Aloo Bonda Wins Big In MasterChef USA

In the ongoing MasterChef USA, Indian contestant Aishu represented the Asia-Pacific team. In the “Global Gauntlet” stadium food challenge, she prepared the popular South Indian dish Aloo Bonda. During the judging, her dish was called out first, and when asked what she made, she confidently replied, “Potato Bonda.”

In the video, she shared that most contestants focused on protein-based dishes, but she chose something that would surprise the judges. While describing her dish to the judges, she revealed that she made Aloo Bonda with the coconut chutney and cilantro mint chutney. The description is itself enough to make us drool. She also mentioned that bondas are always eaten at the stadiums and not at home. It’s a guilty pleasure.

Judges’ Reaction To The Dish

After tasting her dish, the judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and Tiffany Derry showed that they absolutely loved it. Gordon said that Aishu absolutely nailed the dish and that everything from colour to texture and taste was perfect. Next, Joe Bastianich revealed that he had never had coconut chutney before, and he loved the taste.

He also mentioned that Aishu managed to balance the sweet and savory taste in the dish. Lastly, Tiffany said that when she had the bonda with garlic and chutneys, it felt like a snack she would love to indulge in. After receiving a positive response from the judges, it was announced that she won the immunity pin for her Asia-Pacific team, and everyone celebrated together.
