What Exactly Happened?
Last week, the incident occurred on a flight from London Heathrow to Los Angeles, where a passenger distributed sweets to the crew members of the flight. Unaware of what was in the sweets, the members consumed them after the flight landed in Los Angeles.
After the consumption of the sweets, the members had “weird out-of-body experiences” and began panicking. It is also reported that the members will not be charged, as they didn’t know the sweets were laced with marijuana.
The staff members often receive sweets as a token of appreciation from passengers, and that is why it was quite normal for them to take the sweets. They consumed the sweets in the crew bus after touchdown, and soon after, they realised that something was not right. As for the symptoms, they felt totally out of control and became scared. With time, their symptoms became worse, and all three of them were taken to the hospital for immediate treatment. They have since been discharged. British Airways stated that there was no impact on passenger safety and that a fresh crew operated the following services.
