New Year’s Eve fireworks at Burj Khalifa are something that no Dubai resident wishes to miss. However, spending anything from AED2,000 to 20,000 on a restaurant in Downtown Dubai is out of the question for most. After all, getting these reservations isn’t just difficult but even expensive! But what if you get to skip the ticketed venue for premium views for free public viewing instead? Well, that’s true because there are many areas in Dubai that offer a free public viewing for the world-famous Burj Khalifa New Year’s Eve fireworks.
Several Free Public Viewing Areas For Fireworks
There are many free public viewing areas, as confirmed by Emaar, that will offer you an unprecedented and panoramic view of the Burj Khalifa’s New Year’s Eve fireworks. These are all across Downtown Dubai, and with LED screens along Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Boulevard, will be showcasing live fireworks, entertainment, and light shows.
Access Controlled Through Entry Gates
The free public viewing gates will operate on first come first served basis, as mentioned by the Gulf News. With the access being controlled through entry gates, the gates will be closed once it reaches the capacity. The gates will be in the areas as follows:
- Boulevard Heights
- Burj Vista
- Emaar Square
- Former Address Boulevard
- Fountain Views
- Address Downtown
- Vida Dubai Mall
Several Viewing Areas For Families & Bachelors
There are even family viewing areas where you can watch the fireworks for free. These are in the following locations:
- South Ridge
- ACT 1 / ACT 2
- Outer Boulevard
- Old Town
- Cascade Garden
While the bachelor viewing areas are also there, and they are available in these locations:
- Zabeel Bachelor
- Views Bachelor
- Vida Bachelor
- Vista Bachelor
- Rove Bachelor
It is, however, advised that visitors arrive early if they wish to secure access.
Several Road Closures Announced
New Year’s Eve celebrations, the Dubai RTA has also announced several major road closures. If you wish to watch the fireworks at Burj Khalifa, you will want to arrive by 4 PM on December 31st, as several roads will be closed throughout the day. From 4 PM onwards, the following roads will be closed in Dubai:
- Al Istiqlal Street
- Al Mustaqbal Street
- Lower Financial Centre Road
- Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard
- Burj Khalifa Street
The later closures, which will be taking place, will be on the following streets:
- Al Multaqa (Al Mulook) Street
Timings: 8 pm onwards - Upper Financial Centre Road
Timings: 9 pm - Sheikh Zayed Road (partial closure)
Timings: 11 pm
Just like every year, there will be a full Sheikh Zayed Road closure, which will be from December 31st, 6 AM till 2 AM on January 2nd, 2026.

As a result, residents are advised to follow alternative routes, which they must plan in advance.
With the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station closing at 5 PM or earlier, it will be on the basis of passenger capacity. Not to mention, if you wish, you can use nearby stations instead, which are Emirates Towers, World Trade Centre, Financial Centre, and Business Bay. Additionally, you should have a minimum nol balance of AED15 for Silver and AED30 for Gold.
Free Shuttle By Dubai RTA After Fireworks
Finally, there will be a free shuttle after the fireworks by the Dubai RTA. This will transport visitors to the metro station and taxi hubs at Al Wasl Club and Al Kifaf. Although taxis will be available, those who are not attending the event will be required to leave the area with the help of public transport services.
