Jumeirah Lake Towers in Dubai just got an aww-dorable addition, as the neighbourhood has named its first ‘Chief Dog Officer’. Yes, the cutesy English Coco Spaniel, which is one year old, is called Chase. Truly a big personality in the neighbourhood, did you know his job is to make the neighbourhood a better place for pets and their owners?
JLT Gets Its Chief Dog Officer
As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, JLT invited locals to nominate their dogs for the special role. The response, as you might have guessed, was tremendous! Dog owners from across the neighbourhood shared sad stories about their furbabies and why they deserved the prestigious title. After all the stories were reviewed, Chase won everyone over.
What Does A Chief Dog Officer Do?
The next question that anyone would want answered is what does a Chief Dog Officer do? Well, the role is pretty straightforward. His role is to spread joy and promote good pet etiquette around the neighbourhood. The main duty includes welcoming dogs and their families to JLT. Moreover, he’ll also encourage friendly behaviour at the dog park and other shared places. As further mentioned in the report, he also gets to explore and show off all the pet-friendly cafes and walking spots around the area.

However, the duty comes with a lot of perks as well. Max & Mia, which is a local pet boutique, has designed a custom outfit in the colours of JLT’s signature colour for the dog.
