Grammy Winner Ricky Kej Gets Robbed By Zomato Delivery Agents In Bengaluru

Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej has now taken to his Instagram account to address an incident. He revealed that his home in Bengaluru was trespassed and a sump cover was stolen by a Zomato delivery partner. Sharing the CCTV footage, the Indian musical composer requested Bengaluru Police’s help to identify the person involved.

Ricky Kej is an Indian music composer, environmentalist, and a three-time Grammy Award winner. The composer took to his Instagram account to share that a Zomato delivery partner allegedly entered his home on Thursday. Sharing clear CCTV footage, Ricky mentioned that the incident happened around 6 pm in the evening, calling it “quite bold” of them.

Ricky Kej also wrote, “This is probably not their first time. They came in just 15 minutes earlier for a recce, and then trespassed and committed the crime.” In the post shared by the composer, the footage can be seen from two angles. The delivery agent first enters the home through the main gate, looks around, and then proceeds to remove the sump cover. He takes the cover, exits the house, and rides away. From the footage, it appears that the delivery agent was possibly helped by another person who was riding the two-wheeler.

Music Composer Seeks Bengaluru Police’s Help

Apart from the CCTV footage, Ricky Kej also shared screenshots of the delivery agent’s face and the number plate of the two-wheeler. The Grammy winner tagged Bengaluru Police and requested their assistance to identify the person and take action. He ended his post by saying, “Also, people, be vigilant. This can happen to you, too!”

Many of his followers were naturally angered by the incident. One user tagged Zomato and asked the company to take action. Another Instagram user wrote, “This is so bad. Hope the police can trace the folks who did. Very unfortunate,” while one added, “Sorry this happened! Our sump cover was stolen some years ago.” Several others called the incident scary and terrible.

The robbery at Ricky Kej’s home is undoubtedly concerning. We hope the authorities take swift action and that the people involved are identified soon.
