Indian Woman Misses Train In Italy By One Minute
Garima Chauhan (@garimachauhan09), a content creator on Instagram, recently took to her Instagram to share her experience in Italy. She was exploring Naples and had a high-speed train booked to Florence at 8:30 am. But the train schedule changed, and it was preponed to leave at 8:20 am. According to Garima, the railway authorities had informed them about the schedule change through an email. However, she and the man she was travelling with forgot to check their inbox, and the new information was not updated on the mobile app.
So, Garima planned her journey according to the 8:30 am time and unfortunately missed the train by just a minute. She and her partner then went to the railway office, prepared to buy a new ticket. But the railway staff gave them a free train ride and shifted them to the 11 am train, just because they forgot to see the email.
Netizens React To The Video
Garima highlighted how the system in Italy is so different from India. She asked her followers, “Kya yeh India mein hota?” Her partner also said that when passengers miss trains in India, they have to spend more money to buy another ticket for their journey. Plus, the railway authorities do not even send emails if the schedule is changed.
Netizens had mixed reactions to this video by Garima. Many users complained that some Indian travellers start criticising Indian trains the moment they step into a train in Europe. One user wrote, “Sister, you have not faced train delay in Italy. You will forget all this.” Another commented, “While it’s great to see such service, you need to understand the obvious differences between the two countries.”
