Here’s All You Need To Know

According to reports, dry winter conditions have been a major factor behind the scale of these wildfires in Japan. A blaze that broke out in the Iwate city of Ofunato earlier last year was among the country’s worst in over half a century, and these new ones are matching its scale. Strong winds have continued to fuel the flames, making firefighting efforts in the rural region more challenging.

The fires have scorched large forest areas, turned vast stretches of land bright orange, and damaged at least seven buildings. However, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
