Lufthansa Pilots Announce Strike Again For 2 More Days

According to The Economic Times, Lufthansa passengers are likely to face further disruption this week. After a 48-hour strike on Monday and Tuesday, pilots have announced another two-day strike planned for Thursday and Friday. The pilots’ union has urged members to stop work again, a move expected to impact travel across multiple routes.

Flights under Lufthansa’s main brand, along with subsidiaries CityLine and Eurowings, and cargo operations by Lufthansa Cargo, are likely to be affected by the strike. The pilots’ union said there has been no progress in talks with the airline. “The situation remains unchanged; there is absolutely no movement on the employers’ side,” said union president Andreas Pinheiro.

Meanwhile, as the pilot strike continues, Lufthansa’s cabin crew union UFO is planning a demonstration in Frankfurt on Wednesday, coinciding with the airline’s centenary celebrations, which Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of Germany, is expected to attend.
