Did you know there is a street in Paris known for selling amazing Indian stuff, and that too at low prices? Gare du Nord, an area, is going viral among tourists for selling gol gappe, Indian sweets, outfits and more. Here’s why you should visit this street on your next trip to the city of romance.
Mini Indian Street In Paris
An Instagram user, Vishwas Dang (@dangvishwasinparis), an Indian professional living in Paris, France, recently posted a video showing glimpses of Paris’s famous Indian area, called Gare du Nord. The area is known as a ‘mini India’ in the city. He shows what one can get on this street. He first shows a salon where people can get haircuts at affordable prices, before showing an Indian sweet shop where one can enjoy pani puri or gol gappe.
Can you even imagine eating gol gappe in France? This is amazing, right? The shop also sells a variety of Indian sweets. He then shows a shop selling traditional Indian outfits like suits and sarees. Vishwas then moves along and shows potatoes and onions stacked in front of a shop in Gare du Nord. Honestly, the street looks less French and more Indian if you ask us.
