Munich Airport Brings Back Christmas And Winter Market
Munich Airport in Germany is also ready to welcome the festive vibe with its popular Christmas and Winter Market. Back with its 25th edition, it will open on November 14, 2025, at the Munich Airport Centre (MAC) and continue until December 28, 2025. The best part is that everyone, from travellers, airport staff and visitors can walk in, explore, eat and enjoy the festive mood.
The entire area will actually look like a cosy winter wonderland. You’ll see a forest full of decorated pine trees, cute wooden huts, fairy lights shining everywhere and that warm aroma of mulled wine and roasted nuts. It will honestly feel like a mini holiday break happening right inside the airport. There will be almost 40 market stalls where you can shop for handmade gifts, try winter snacks and taste delicious regional food.

Activities To Enjoy At Market
The most exciting part of this market at the Munich Airport is the 600-square-metre ice rink. Guests can skate or try curling. They can book their time slot through the website. Wednesday evening will have an Ice Disco from 6 PM onwards. The market will also offer creative workshops like Advent wreath making, ceramic painting, Christmas bauble decoration and fun craft sessions.
Kids can also enjoy magic shows, soap bubble entertainment and face painting. Santa will visit the market on November 27, December 6 and December 19 to give treats to children. For a good cause, this year the market will also have a “Wish Tree” on December 6 and 7. Various wish notes will hang on a beautifully decorated tree. These wishes belong to children from social organisations and charities. Visitors can pick a wish note, buy the gift and submit it at the “Elk Hut” by December 18. As the evening gets closer, visitors will get to enjoy live performances by regional artists.
If visitors want to see the entire airport glowing after sunset, they can book 50-minute night light tours. The meeting point is the light tour hut at the market. The winter market opens daily from 11 AM to 9 PM, and you can explore it for free. Only on Christmas Eve, the market will close earlier at 4 p.m. Guests can also enjoy one hour of free parking and discounted parking for three hours.
