“Only Corn For Vegetarians,” Nauheed Cyrusi Visits Bangkok’s Street Food Stalls Ft. Scorpions

Bangkok Street Food

For foodies, trying street food from different countries is always on the bucket list. Yes, India’s street food has no match, but did you know about Bangkok’s street food market? Anwar actress Nauheed Cyrusi recently took us on a virtual journey to one of these markets, and here’s what we discovered. It’s world-famous and doesn’t serve your basic snacks. Expect scorpions, grasshoppers and more. But vegetarians might not return happy. The reason? Limited options.

Nauheed Cyrusi Tries Street Food In Bangkok

Actress Nauheed Cyrusi, who is a foodie and often shares her cooking experiments, recently posted a video of herself strolling at a street food market in Bangkok. But is it really worth going to? For seafood lovers, we can say yes. For vegetarians, the answer might not be the same. Nauheed says the street food market has dedicated pop-ups for a variety of seafood snacks. From scallops to oysters and squids, you will find everything. Nauheed’s video showed the street food market packed with stalls and so wide variety of unique snacks! Some of the snacks also included chicken gyozas, samosas, fried shrimps, fried chicken cheese, cheese balls and more!

But vegetarians might not enjoy the visit because all they really have is corn, which is “cooked in three ways”. But these details weren’t the only thing that caught our eye. There were stalls selling grasshoppers, crickets and scorpions, too. Yes, it might sound weird to us, but these are considered a normal, delicious snack for people in Thailand!

She Also Found Something Sweet

Nauheed also shared that she found her “morning glory” by eating some delicious sugar-coated strawberries. She ends her video saying the market is right outside CentralWorld. So if you ever visit Bangkok and want to try amazing seafood and snacks like grasshoppers and scorpions, we suggest you definitely stop here!

Just like us, her fans were also surprised to see the street market. Honestly, it’s not every day we see scorpions being sold as food, right? One user wrote, “Ma’am, did I see that right? Are those little pupae on the street food, or something else? Guess that’s some extra protein! Another added, “It’s amazing”.
