Exploring South Korea is soon going to get more affordable and easier in the coming two months. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Tourism Organisation have unveiled a campaign called ‘Spring for Travel’ that offers major discounts on transportation, such as trains and airfares. These offers apply to both domestic and international tourists. Here’s what you need to know.
South Korea Launches ‘Spring For Travel’ Campaign
According to The Korea Times, this campaign offers some amazing spring travel deals that you won’t want to miss. The campaign will run from April 1 through May 31, so we suggest you start making your plans now. If you are in South Korea or planning to visit soon, make sure you take full advantage of what this campaign has to offer.
Korea Railroad Corporation is offering 100% refunds in points on fares to 42 depopulated regions for trips booked during this period. Travellers can verify their visits via QR codes to unlock coupons matching their round-trip costs. According to Korea.net, five themed train routes, including Seohaegeumbit and Namdohaeyang (southern coast), are available at a 50% discount. Travellers can also buy a Naeilro Pass, which allows unlimited train rides for three or five days. It also comes with a 20,000 won discount (₹1,227 approx).

Airfare Discounts Also Available For Travellers
According to The Korea Times, there are airfare discounts too. Travellers who buy domestic round-trip tickets through Naver Flight can receive Naver Pay points worth 5,000 won per person (₹307 approx) and up to 20,000 won for four people (₹1,227 approx).
For travel outside Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province, lodging prices will also be reduced. About 100,000 discount coupons will be available. Travellers paying 70,000 won (₹4,298 approx) or more for accommodation can get a discount of 30,000 won (₹1,842 approx).
