Yes, under the mutual visa exemption signed by the two nations, diplomatic, special and official passport holders are exempted from short stay visa requirements. The agreement was signed by the two nations. Abdulmajeed bin Rashed Alsmari, who is the Deputy Minister for protocol affairs at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, signed for Saudi Arabia. While for India, it was signed by the Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Ajaz Khan.
It was further revealed by the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia that the agreement was a part of a strategic partnership between the two countries. With the visa streamlining movement of officials between the two countries, it is also bound to strengthen the cooperation between several sectors.
