On Tuesday, September 2, a newly-built luxurious yacht, Dolce Vento, was launched in the sea near Ereğli in Zonguldak, Turkey. What happened next will shock you. The nearly $1 million yacht sank into the sea within 15 minutes of its maiden journey. The yacht was built recently and was on its testing voyage when this incident happened. New Dolce Vento Yacht Sinks In The Sea

The yacht Dolce Vento was recently built at the Med Yilmaz Shipyard. The 85-foot-long yacht created a buzz on the internet on its maiden journey. Shockingly, the yacht sank in the sea just 15 minutes after starting its journey from the Turkish coast. A video recently went viral showing the ship’s owner swimming back to shore after the boat submerged, Hindustan Times reported

Due to this horrific incident, the excitement of seeing the nearly $9,40,000 yacht sail quickly turned into panic. As soon as the people on board realised that the yacht was not stable, they jumped off and swam towards the shore. Those onboard included a few passengers, crew, the shipowner, and the captain. The shipyard officials have confirmed that there were no serious injuries. The reason why the new yacht sank is still unknown. To know the exact reason, the authorities will conduct a thorough technical test.

Sparks Concerns Over Quality

The Coast Guard and port teams quickly reached the spot after the luxurious yacht began sinking. Ensuring the safety of people, the team quickly created a security zone around the area in the sea so that other boats could not come near until the situation was under control. They focused on safety and preventing more damage at the site.

According to Hindustan Times, Dolce Vento was built in five months, and the fact that it did not survive its first journey has shocked everyone and raised questions about its quality. It was indeed shocking to see a $9,40,000-project sinking in just a matter of minutes.
