Recently, a viral video surfaced showing a content creator washing her underwear in a hotel coffee machine, sparking serious concerns about the proper use of hotel facilities and the importance of basic hygiene.

The viral clip shared by @Hustlerbitch_ shows TikTok creator @tarawoodcox11 showing a travel hack that involves washing underwear in a hotel coffee machine. In the video, the influencer begins by saying, “I am about to show you the coolest trick ever.” Further, she explains that this travel hack is meant for situations when a traveller suddenly needs underwear.

Standing next to a hotel coffee maker, she stated, “If you are travelling and you didn’t pack enough underwear and you are like, ‘What will I wear tomorrow?’, every room has a coffee pot thing in it.” The creator also demonstrated the step-by-step process by placing her underwear where coffee grounds generally sit, closing the lid and hitting brew. “And you press brew, and it puts scorching hot water through it,” she further demonstrated. Adding to it, she said that she also uses a hair dryer afterward to finish drying the garment. She also mentioned that she was surprised after finding out that so many people already know this hack.

People’s Reaction To The Viral Video

As soon as the video went viral, people filled the comment section, calling the act “disgusting” and “beyond gross”. One user wrote, “How hard is it to wash your underwear in the shower or sink? “That’s disgusting!” Another wrote, “Seriously, that’s beyond gross! Thinking about all the times I’ve trusted those hotel coffee makers makes my skin crawl. It’s crazy how little hotels clean those things between guests, and knowing someone’s been running underwear through them? No thanks! From now on, I’m definitely packing my own travel coffee setup. It’s way safer and way less disgusting. Honestly, it makes you realise how important it is to be cautious about even the smallest things when travelling.”

Another said, “I am at the point where I don’t want to fly or stay at hotels any more. At all.”
