According to The Economic Times, NHAI has announced a special drive that encourages highway users to report dirty toilets at toll plazas. For doing this, they can get a ₹1,000 FASTag recharge. This reward system is available till October 31, 2025, and is valid across all National Highways in India.

Every Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) linked to a FASTag number is eligible for the ₹1,000 FASTag recharge. If people can report dirty toilets constructed, operated, or maintained under NHAI jurisdiction, then they are eligible for this reward. It is to be noted that toilets at retail fuel stations, dhabas, or other public facilities are not included in this drive.

You can report dirty toilets on Indian highways on the Rajmargyatra app. Now, if you’re wondering what happens when multiple reports for the same toilet are received on the same day? In that case, the NHAI will consider the first valid image reported. Furthermore, each VRN is eligible for only one reward. Only original photos will be accepted.
