If you stay updated about global weather updates you must have read about the alarming and strong Tropical Storm Sara wreaking havoc in parts of Belize and Honduras. Incessant rainfall led to widespread floods and caused major chaos in the affected regions. Unfortunately, a person has died due to the adverse weather conditions. Following a miserable state in Belize and Honduras, Tropical Depression Sara is now on its way to Mexico.

Tropical Storm Sara Slows To A Tropical Depression

Hundreds and thousands of residents were forced to leave their houses and belongings and run away to save their lives from the horrifying wrath of the deadly storm. After severe destruction in Honduras and Belize, the tropical storm began to weaken its intensity and transform into Tropical Depression Sara.

According to the US National Hurricane Center’s weather predictions, the strength of the storm is weakening on its way to Mexico. Based on the recent forecast, it is slowly moving towards the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Though the intensity is likely to wear out, heavy rainfall may cause scaring floods in places.

According to a report by Business Standard, the recent forecasts state that Tropical Depression Sara’s centre is somewhere about 257 km southeast of Mexico’s Campeche.

Poor Weather Suspended Flights & Closed Schools

Taking to X, Noorie (@Im_Noorie) shared information about the Tropical Depression Sara moving to Mexico.

Civil aviation officials shared necessary information about pausing flight arrivals and departures in different airports in the affected cities. Bustling airports in Honduras’s Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula have been closed due to Tropical Storm Sara. The airport located close to Belize has been shut till Monday.

The government in Belize shut down schools on Monday. The tropical storm triggered significant devastation in the impacted places. Thousands of people lost their houses. Many of them escaped to shelters to save themselves from the destruction.
