Turkish Airlines has introduced a complimentary tour service called ‘Touristanbul’ for all their international transfer passengers who have a layover in Istanbul. With this service, they aim to give the passengers a unique opportunity to explore the rich culture and history of Istanbul during their layovers.
Touristanbul is Turkish Airlines’s initiative to enhance the travel experience for international passengers and give them a taste of world-famous Turkish hospitality. This service is only available for international transfer passengers who have a layover time of 6-24 hours at the Istanbul Airport.
During these tours, passengers can visit Istanbul’s most iconic sites and monuments and enjoy the stunning view of the legendary Bosphorus. That’s not all! As part of this service, passengers will also get to sample traditional Turkish cuisine at the selected restaurants.

How Can You Book Touristanbul?

If you must have an international Turkish Airlines flight that connects through Istanbul with a layover between 6 to 24 hours to enjoy the Touristanbul service. You can sign up for the guided tours at the Hotel Desk in the International Arrivals Terminal of Istanbul Airport.
You can also book them at the Touristanbul Desk Office near the Transfer desk area. There, you will be issued a ticket and the officials will guide you further. You will need an eVisa for this service. You can get it at the Turkish Airlines Sales / Ticket Desks before or on the day of your departure or online.
The service is available for passengers travelling on codeshare flights as well. All passengers will be picked up and taken on a guided tour of the city before being dropped back at the airport for their next flight. You can learn more about this service on their website here.
