In this heartwarming episode of Sunday Brunch, Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani visits Tusshar Kapoor at his home, where they dive into a candid conversation over a delightful homemade Punjabi meal. From his experiences growing up with Ekta Kapoor to his journey as an introverted actor in the loud world of Bollywood, Tusshar shares insights into both his personal and professional life. Tune in to discover how mindfulness influences his approach to food, family, and balancing his life as a single dad.

For Tusshar Kapoor, It’s All About Mindful Eating

When asked about his food choice, the Golmaal actor said, “It’s not reverse ageing; it’s just being a little mindful,” reflecting on his balanced approach to food and health. For him, it’s about finding harmony, even while travelling. “In Kerala, I was very happy—they give red rice because that’s Kerala’s traditional food, so that works,” he explains. Red rice, quinoa, lots of veggies, and a protein source become his go-to meal, whether at home or away. The key, he says, is adapting to what’s available—like opting for bajra roti instead of quinoa. “Even when I go out, I can create this balance,” he adds, emphasising that it’s not about strict diets but a sustainable mix of carbs, proteins, and vegetables.

In the candid conversation with Kamiya Jani, Tusshar Kapoor reminisced about his childhood with Ekta Kapoor, sharing a mix of sibling rivalry and deep affection. “We fought like wrestlers—not about money or anything serious, but over the TV, tape recorder, or what movie to watch,” he laughed. One memorable fight at a traffic signal escalated so dramatically that they tore each other’s clothes, forcing a quick trip home to change before a birthday party.

Reflecting on their personalities, Tusshar described Ekta as bold and outspoken, while he claimed his aggression could intimidate even the devil. “She’s Daddy’s girl,” he admitted, recalling their father’s protective instinct toward Ekta. Despite their fiery squabbles, Tusshar acknowledged his sensitivity and resilience, traits that balance out the spirited dynamic between him and his sister.
