The UAE has put in place extra police protection and drones, to ensure safety ahead of Eid celebrations. Over 180 patrols would oversee traffic, while marine units will supervise beaches. Besides, authorities will also be on the watch out in public areas to ensure residents and citizens comply with the rules.

1. Pray At Home
Worshippers in the UAE have been asked to offer Eid prayers at home this year. The Eid Takbeer will be broadcast through various mosques in the UAE on the morning of the Eid.
“During the Eid Al Adha break, it is preferable to avoid family gatherings. Use social media and telecom tools to communicate during the holidays,” authorities said on 22 July. In addition, a list of other guidelines were also given. Mosques will operate at 50% capacity, and a physical distance of two meters must be maintained between worshippers. Prayer timings will be adjusted between Azan and Iqama to 10 minuets for all prayers except for Maghrib prayer which will be 5 minutes, as of 3 August.

2. Donations
Donations and sacrifices should be to official charitable causes in the country only. Residents and Emiratis can donate through charitable societies, authorities, such as the Red Crescent, through smart apps, or through abattoirs determined by local authorities as safe. 3. Family Gatherings
The National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) urged residents to avoid family gatherings and celebrate through virtual means. 4. Follow Precautionary Measures
