As Hajj is over, the UAE is welcoming its residents, who had gone for the pilgrimage warmly. From Sharjah to Dubai, airports across the Emirates are welcoming the pilgrims in unique and heartwarming ways. Here’s all about it.

Pilgrims Returning From Hajj Receive Warm Welcome In UAE

From Dubai to Sharjah, pilgrims have been welcomed warmly upon their return from Hajj. At Dubai International Airport, these returning payments were given gifts that added a special touch to their homecoming, as reported by the Gulf News. Similarly, the Sharjah Airport has also started receiving its first batches of pilgrims who returned to the UAE after performing the mandatory religious duty in Saudi Arabia. Airport employees worked towards the programs by swiftly completing their arrival procedures and enhancing their comfort. In fact, the Sharjah Airport staff welcomed the pilgrims by offering them flowers and Arabian hospitality in an atmosphere of exuberance.

Exhausted Residents Feel Thankful As The Return

This arrival and warm welcome takes place as the lethal heat wave that’s taking over Saudi Arabia. Resulting in the deaths of hundreds of pilgrims, temperatures have already reached 51.8°C in Makkah. However, despite all the challenges that the pilgrims faced as they performed their duty, they were thankful. Despite all the challenges, there was a communal spirit in the air, as revealed in a report by the Khaleej Times.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that despite all the challenges, Hajj is a celebrated religious duty and one that Muslims save up for their entire lives. And it’s so happens that the General Authority of Islamic Affairs & Endowments in the UAE revealed that 2025 registrations will open from September 2024. This announcement follows the successful completion of this year’s Hajj with Saudi Arabia getting an influx of over 1.8 million programs from 88 countries.
