The update is a part of the government’s effort to curb the spread of the virus while ensuring the safety of the employees. The 14-day testing is not only limited to immediate government employees. Employees of outsourced and public services companies, employed on a full-time basis also have to take a test.

Unvaccinated Employees Will Have To Bear The Cost Of The Test

When it comes to paying for the vaccine, unvaccinated employees will have to pay for the tests themselves unless they can present a medical report exempting them from taking the vaccine due to an illness or other health condition. And in that case, the employer will bear the cost of the same.
