Here is the good news we all have been waiting for! On Thursday, UAE achieves a major milestone in the fight against COVID-19. According to the Khaleej Times, all the targeted groups are 100% fully vaccinated against the virus. These people include eligible residents, frontline workers, volunteers, seniors, and people with long-term illnesses whose health allows them to get the vaccine.

UAE: Most Vaccinated Countries On Earth

Since they have begin their nationwide vaccination campaign in December 2020, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is consistently ranking among the highest-vaccination rates of any nation on the planet. According to Our World in Data, as of the first of June, the nation has the greatest percentage of its citizens who had been vaccinated.

Free vaccinations of several different brands are now available at both publicly funded and privately run medical clinics. In addition, qualified people get free booster doses when they become due. As of the first of June, approximately 24.92 million doses of the vaccine have been distributed, with a distribution rate of 251.98 per one hundred individuals.

Massive Vaccination Drive

One hundred per cent of eligible people received one dosage of the vaccine by November of last year. UAE accomplishes the milestone less than a year after the government initiated its widespread immunisation campaign. In December 2020, the Ministry of Health and Prevention of the UAE authorised the broad distribution of the Sinopharm vaccine. Within days, the FDA authorised the Covid-19 vaccine from Pfizer-BioNTech for widespread use.

Its free vaccination campaign has helped boost herd immunity, reducing the number of daily infections, critical cases, and fatalities.
