Show jumping is one of the most popular sports around the world. And recently, it was announced that the UAE National Show Jumping Team will be performing at the individual event in Paris today, which is Monday. Yes, this individual competition will see several participants who will then advance to the final stage on the basis of faults and recorded times. Here’s all about it.
UAE Show Jumping National Team To Participate At Paris Olympics
It’s no secret that the Paris Olympics has been trending online for a variety of reasons. And at the Equestrian Jumping Individual (qualifier), which is scheduled to take place at 5:30 PM (Paris time) near the Palace of Versailles, is going to be one exciting event. The reason for this is that the UAE National Show Jumping Team will also be competing for this!
Yes, they will be competing at this individual event that will see a participation of 75 riders, out of which, 30 will be advanced to the final stage. The selection will be on the basis of the number of faults and the recorded times! It’s worth mentioning that the riders from the UAE have already completed the training round with each of the riders having 90 seconds to complete eight obstacles. In fact, the horses have successfully passed the veterinary inspection as well!

This participation at the 33rd Summer Olympics in Paris is definitely a significant milestone in the UAE equestrian show jumping journey. The aim is to adapt several ambitious programmes to enhance the capabilities of the emirate’s participants. And to also help them qualify for the same, raising the UAE flag at international events. As it happens, women have also received a lot of attention within the federation with development programmes. Yes, they are being provided with opportunities to develop their capabilities in the field of show jumping and other sports as well.
