UAE President Visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque To Offer Eid-al-Adha Prayers

The celebrations and holidays have begun as the much awaited festival, Eid-al-Adha, is here. All the Muslims visited mosques to offer prayers. People visited mosques and then greeted their families, after which men headed for animal sacrifices. Eid-al-Adha is a celebration remembering Prophet Ibrahim’s faithfulness and devotion towards Allah. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to offer Eid-al-Adha prayers. 

UAE President Visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, offered the Eid-al-Adha prayer this morning. He offered prayers at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi alongside other worshippers. 

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; and many other important personalities.

Wished Everyone A Happy Occassion

The Director-General of the UAE Fatwa Council, Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, emphasised the value of family ties in bringing happiness into our lives. He mentioned caring for one’s parents, who serve as our primary role models, during the Eid sermon.

On this special day, he prayed to Allah to bless everyone. He asked for continued stability and prosperity for the UAE. Following the prayer, the UAE President wished everyone a happy Eid-al-Adha. 

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed visited the grave of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He recited the holy Quran for his soul, and prayed to Allah for his eternal peace.

Eid-al-Adha is celebrated by Muslims across the globe. This is a holiday period of three-four days when families and friends get together to celebrate.
