UAE Residents Can Soon Rent Out Their Homes To Tourists, Visitors

UAE attracts millions of tourists every year. The maximum crowd is starting to prefer rental houses for vacations compared to hotel rooms. Temporary accommodation like cottages, villas, or flats is more cost-effective than lavish hotel rooms. Hence the preference. Sharjah’s Holiday homes project will allow UAE residents to rent their properties to tourists for a brief period.

The authorities have launched a regulatory framework for the Holiday Homes Project” in Sharjah The project’s goal is to provide inhabitants of Sharjah who want to rent out properties they own as vacation homes to tourists and visitors with an official framework of facilitation and regulation.

One hundred fifty residential units will be granted as part of the project’s initial phase. The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) has authorized the terms and conditions. They allow residential unit rental on a rotating and regular basis.

According to estimates, there are already more than 300 vacation homes in Sharjah. 150 vacation houses will be registered and licenced during the project’s first year.

New Initiative To Increase Income Sources Of UAE Residents

The approach will require about 15 active businesses. The vacation homeowners will have three months to finish the paperwork. Organizing field trips, inspection campaigns, and digital or electronic follow-up of vacation rental businesses and owners are all part of the program’s first phase.

By providing them with formal guidelines on standard specifications, categorization criteria, infractions, and other processes, the project will also provide potential users with a new source of revenue authorized by the Sharjah government.

With the launch of Sharjah Tourism’s Holiday Homes project, the Emirate’s goals to keep developing this industry have achieved a significant milestone. The project brings a cutting-edge new program to the tourism industry. It will also place Sharjah’s homeowners at the forefront of a campaign that will bring more tourists from around the world to the Emirate.
