So, if you’re a parent and your little munchkin is also enrolled in a school, you will know how important this stage of life is for them. After all, it’s not just the school days, but holidays also that make up these blissful years. Keeping this in mind, we’re here to tell you about all the UAE school holidays in 2023 – read on!

A List UAE School Holidays In 2023

As you all must know, children returned to their school on 2nd January 2023, after a time off at the end of the last year. With educational institutions gearing up for the first half-term break of the year, it is important to note all the holidays marked for the year to make holiday plans. Here are some important dates to keep in mind:

  • Students will have a week off starting on Monday, February 13 and will return on 20 February (also a Monday).
  • There will be another break starting from March 27 that will go on till the next month, with schools reopening on the 13th of April.

13 Public Holidays To Keep In Mind

Although summer holidays will begin late in June and go on till late August. However, the specific dates are yet to be announced! Besides holidays for children, there will also be 13 public holidays! Some of these are as follows:

  • The first two will be for Eid al-Fitr, which is expected to fall on 20, 21, 22, and 23 April.
  • There will be a holiday on 27th June, marking Arafat Day, the second day of the week-long Hajj pilgrimage.
  • Eid al-Adha is expected to be celebrated on the 28th, 29th, and 30th of June.
  • The 19th of July will see a public holiday to mark the Islamic New Year.
  • This will be followed by the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday on the 27th of September.
  • Commemoration Day will be on the 1st of December.
  • This will be followed by National Day on Saturday, the 2nd of December.
  • Finally, a holiday will follow the next day of National Day, i.e. on Sunday, December 3.

Confirmed Dates For Eid al-Adha And Eid al-Fitr Awaited

You must keep in mind that the confirmed dates for both festivals will be announced after the relevant moon sighting in Dubai. With a mapping of most of the holidays at your disposal, it makes sense to make plans with your kiddos in advance so that you spend a gala time together as a family.
