With the summer vacations here, a lot of people are already travelling. Yes, as schools have closed, residents in the UAE have already taken off to other cities or even nearby countries with their entire family to truly enjoy the summers. As a result, life has become easier for people on the road for residents who are staying back. This is evident from the fact that roads are clear of traffic jams, as a result, daily commute time has been smashed by half.

According to a report by Khaleej Times, it was revealed that residents in the UAE are breathing a sign of relief. With the summer vacations here, roads are now finally free of congestion and delays in the daily commutes. Expats who generally leave their house earlier, as it would take them 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours to reach their office, and now are reaching the same in just a matter of 40 to 50 minutes. Yes, with the roads free of traffic rush, evening commute has also become a breeze, with it taking just 45 to 50 minutes to travel between long distances, such as Sharjah and Dubai.

The Travel Time Has Reduced

This is a big deal as there is bumper-to-bumper traffic on Sharjah and Dubai route not just in the morning but even in the evening. However, this congestion is nowhere to be found at the moment. In fact, residents can now drive their vehicles at full speed, as the roads are clear of many cars. As a result, they are using the extra time they have on their hands to spend it with their loved ones. Not just this, working mothers are also revelling in the summer break. As they don’t have to rush every morning trying to get their children to school, it is certainly a welcome break from the insanely fast daily routine.
