Travellers around the UAE are preparing for the upcoming holiday and according to travel experts, there is a significant rise in international bookings. Here’s more on the travel trends in the UAE for Eid Al Fitr 2025.

UAE Travellers Are Preffering International Destinations

In a report by Gulf News, which stated dnata travel, about 90% of the people are looking to travel internationally during the upcoming holiday. Yes, they are opting for abroad trips, which highlights a growing preference for overseas travel. Moreover, it also shows how people prefer to travel abroad during the holidays in increasingly as compared to the previous year.

The report mentioned for the celebrations in 2024, bookings were more or less evenly split. Yes, it was revealed in the same report that about 60% of the travellers chose to travel to international destinations. However, there were 40% of them who opted for vacations in the UAE itself. Overall, however, the international domestic bookings have increased by a whopping 65%.

Which Are The Popular Destinations?

In case you are someone who is wondering about the popular destinations that people prefer, these include Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Spain, and France. Moreover, other countries like Vietnam, Switzerland, Italy, and Japan have seen the highest year-on-year growth in demand. With travellers booking for longer stays at distant locations, they’re looking for unique and less explored parts of the popular travel hotspots.

For this purpose, travel companies are increasingly launching a range of curated holiday packages. With the spots still open for different packages for Eid al-Fitr, these holidays are the perfect time to travel as they coincide with the extended spring break period from March to April. Moreover, travellers are increasingly preferring destinations that fall on their travel bucket list for holidays with their families.
