What Is It?
Visit Elephanta Caves or Mandhwa (Alibaug) in flat 20 minutes from Mumbai at your convenience in your personal boat! Ride-hailing app company Uber just got a fancy upgrade and you can now book a speedboat at a touch of a button from Gateway Of India to reach any of the two destinations mentioned above. This brand new UberBOAT service offers speed boats from February 1, 2019 everyday from 8 AM to 5 PM everyday and it will have 3 stops – Gateway Of India, Elephanta Caves and Mandwa.
How Much?
UberBOAT currently has 2 operations – UberBOAT and UberBOAT XL. The UberBOAT can accommodate 6-8 passengers and will cost ₹5700 per ride. The UberBOAT XL accommodates 10+ passengers and costs ₹9500 per ride. Remember to book the cab at least 15 minutes prior to showing up at the port.

The UberBOAT service will be active from 8 AM to 5 PM everyday
The travel time between The Gateway Of India and Mandhwa is likely to be 20 minutes
There are rumours that Uber may expand its services to the suburbs later, with some help from the Mumbai Maritime Board.
