A tragic incident took place at KSR-Bengaluru Railway. According to the reports, smoke was seen coming out of Udyan Express, after which two of its coaches caught fire, probably due to some technical glitch. The scene turned chaotic and passengers were immediately deboarded! Here’s what exactly happened at the railway station.

On Saturday morning at Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway station, two carriages of the Udyan Express train caught fire. The train arrived at the railway station at 5.45 am after leaving Mumbai at 8.30 pm. As of now, no injuries have been recorded. The train was stopped, and the people were deboarded.
Around 7:30 am, smoke was first detected in the train’s air-conditioned carriages B-1 and B-2. The train station was enveloped in heavy smoke in a matter of minutes. As others started running, panic spread. Railway personnel raced in to assess the situation. Firefighters arrived at the scene at about 7:50 am, and the fire was extinguished by 8:40 am.
Following the B2 AC coach, which was the fifth coach from the engine to catch fire, was the B1 coach. The train was travelling from Bengaluru to Chhatrapati Shivaji Railway Station. According to railway officials, the fire is thought to have been started by a short circuit, however, the precise origin is still unknown.

According to a Republic report, hawkers on the station saw smoke coming out of the train and all passengers were deboarded. Further, the scene at the station became chaotic.
Other Trains That Have Caught Fire

Around a month ago, a coach on the Vande Bharat train from Bhopal to Delhi caught fire. According to the reports, the Bhopal Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express coaches’ battery boxes caught fire. The train caught fire before it arrived at the Bina station in Madhya Pradesh. However, 36 passengers were able to exit the train safely from the C 14 coach, which is where the fire started. The local fire department’s crew also arrived at the scene.
Another incident happened with the Falaknuma Express which runs between Howrah and Secunderabad.

When seven of the train’s bogies caught fire near Bhongir town in Telangana’s Yadadri-Bhongir district, passengers on board had a precarious escape.
