UK-based Chef Cooks Delicious Aloo Palak Sandwich; Netizens Call Him, “Officially Indian”

No matter how much we enjoy indulging in a feast of scrumptious delicacies served at restaurants and cafes, nothing soothes our soul like ghar ka khaana. From basic dal chawal to a bowl of noodles to sandwiches, freshly cooked food at home always satiates our cravings like nothing else. Recently, Chef Jake Dryan shared his special recipe to make aloo palak sandwich and desis are so in love with it.

Taking to Instagram, JAKE DRYAN (@plantfuture) shared a video of cooking this delectable dish.

Chef Jake is famous among Netizens for his videos of cooking different regional dishes of India. With his videos and recipes, he represents the regional tastes of different Indian states. Also, all his recipes are focused on plant-based ingredients. So anyone, from vegan to non-vegetarian, can enjoy the delicacies.

The chef used potato and spinach as the filling to make the sandwiches. He cooked the vegetables by adding oil, ginger, garlic, asafoetida, cumin seeds, green chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cassia leaves, and red chilli powder to a pan and then adding potatoes and spinach leaves to the masala. Next, he added salt and water and garnished the sabzi with coriander leaves.

Once the palak and aloo sabzi cooled down, he layered each bread slice with butter and pickle and added sabzi, tomato slices, onions, cheese, and chaat masala. Lastly, he toasted them on a pan. Such a simple way to make a mouth-watering sandwich, right?
