Man From The UK Receives Bottle Of Urine With Food Ordered Online
A man in the UK, Oliver McManus, shared pictures on social media where he found a bottle of urine packed up with his home-delivered meal kit. He had ordered from HelloFresh. Disgusted upon receiving the liquid he did not want, he tweeted to the company. “Hey @HelloFreshUK, I’ll keep it simple: why have I received someone’s bottled-up p— as part of my order?” the tweet read. “Look forward to your response on this one.” “Give me an address @HelloFreshUK, I’ll send it to you, and you can have a whiff in case you’re skeptical!” The tweet, which was posted with an image of a Coca-Cola bottle filled with the suspect yellow liquid, went viral.

Several people shared their opinions on this bizarre incident. Someone tweeted, “Doesn’t get fresher than producing it on the way to the delivery destination.” One person tagged @HelloFreshUK and said, “This is what happens when you pay drivers (and excuse the pun) piss poor wages and hound them on their routes so much they can’t risk falling behind. I suggest you start using driver-friendly suppliers.”McManus also noted that the meal kit was not properly sealed and the bottle with the yellow liquid was “just sort of nestling on the top.”

Reading the comments on his tweet, McManus said, “No, it’s not a joke! Boy, do I wish it was.” HelloFresh UK responded by writing, “We truly lack the words to describe how sorry we are because of this. Could you please send us a DM so we could deal with this as soon as possible?” The company later responded to UK media outlets with a statement. “We are truly horrified and sorry that the customer received the offending item…Given the wholly unacceptable nature, we are urgently investigating, along with our delivery company, how an open box with this bottle in it was delivered.” The German-based meal kit delivery company apologised profusely to the customer and ensured it shall never happen again.
