UAE: Residency Renewal From Home Service Launched For Expats For Simplifying Procedures

The UAE has finally launched its Residency Renewal from Home Service for expats. So expatriates in the country who need to complete the medical fitness training that is required for residency visa renewal can do so from the comfort of their home. This comes after the launch of the new service by the Emirates Health Services, and here’s all you need to know about it.

As mentioned, the initiative that is titled Residency Renewal From Home allows expatriate residents to undergo the mandatory medical fitness test from the comfort of their home. They can do so without visiting medical fitness centres. Instead, a specialised medical team would visit the applicant’s home at the scheduled time. This would reflect the ongoing efforts by the country to modernise government services. Not to mention, it would help deliver them in more flexible and convenient ways.

Streamlining Residency Renewal Process

It should be noted that the new service has been designed in such a way that it streamlines the residency renewal process. Not to mention, it provides a smoother customer experience, especially for residents who face the challenges that are related to mobility or limited time. Once the appointment is arranged, a specialised team from the Wiqayati preventive health centre will visit the customer’s residence. There, they will carry out medical screening in accordance with the approved health procedures. And of course, this will also be according to the highest medical standards. The home service would include a full medical examination, which is required for residency renewal. This is then conducted under the strict quality and safety standards.

Once the fitness screening is completed, applicants will receive results through text or email. This would allow them to proceed with the residency renewal process. The Emirates Health Services has also confirmed that the services are available for residency renewal applications only. Reducing the need to visit medical fitness centres, the new service might just ease congestion at the facility while also ensuring that the healthcare services are delivered efficiently.
