Nawazuddin Siddiqui Talks About His Relationship With His Father

While gorging on freshly prepared Dal Ghosht with Bajra Roti with Kamiya Jani, Nawazuddin Siddique revealed how he likes to spend time with himself by meditating and introspecting. He spoke about his experiences with anger and how he has realised that he gets it almost as an “inheritance” from his father and paternal grandfather.

The actor named his home ‘Nawab’ in memory of his father. It was a pet name that was given by his father. Kamiya asked the actor about his relationship with his father. Nawazuddin Siddique poured his heart out by admitting that he had a complicated relationship with his father. He said, “Mere father, uss time pe, thhodi zyaathi karthe the meri maa pe.” (My father was unjust to my mother.) Having observed the turmoil in the household as a young child, this created a distance between the father and son.

His Father Was His Confidant, The Actor Misses Him

But when it comes to a father, Nawazuddin Siddique said that one values a father only after his demise. He reflects that people often don’t understand the value of a father during their lives. Death brings that realisation. After his father’s demise, he realised how much he missed his parent. The actor recollected sharing his problems with his father. Only to receive a jovial response, “Ho jaayega teekh.” (It will be alright.) That used to give him the confidence that things would be fine.
