A new Vande Bharat metro route is launching between Agra in Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi. If reports are to go by, it will significantly reduce the travel time between the two destinations. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this new Vande Bharat metro train route.

According to an article which was recently published by Republic, this is the first train service of the Agra Vande Bharat Metro Express. If reports are to go by, the train will also have stops in Lucknow and Agra before reaching the national capital.

What is more, this train service will provide an alternative to the New Delhi Intercity service. As per reports, the Vande Bharat Metro will cut the travel time between Agra and Delhi to one and a half hours. Yes, you read that right!

You’ll be able to travel between the two destinations in less than two hours! As of now, it takes around four to five hours to travel between the two places both by train as well as by road. Once the service commences, however, it is hoped that this will reduce.

First Such Train In Agra; Expected To Start Operations Soon

The Republic article also states that this will be the first Agra service of the Vande Bharat Metro. Operations will commence soon. The second trial of the train is scheduled to take place in July this year. Once the trial is done, the official commencement date can be ascertained.

The distance between the two cities currently stands at 200 kilometres. The Vande Bharat Metro will consist of 16 coaches and will ply at a speed of 160 kilometres per hour.
