We often imagine scientists and astronauts to be these serious people who are always only concerned about science, studying and their own research. However, if you actually follow some scientists and astronauts on their social media, you will soon realise that they are some of the biggest goofballs and love to have their fun. A recent exhibit of this was given by an astronaut having fun with ketchup who is currently residing on the International Space Station or the ISS.

This one goes out to all the ketchup lovers out there. Everyone I’ve shared it with either thinks it is awesome or gross. Nothing in between. Also some interesting science stuff happening . . . pic.twitter.com/1hNapN6oRs

According to an article which was recently published by the Hindustan Times or HT, Astronaut Matthew Dominick joined NASA in 2017. In a post which was recently made on X (formerly known as Twitter), Dominick was seen having some fun.
He is currently residing on the ISS and its zero-gravity environment is perfect for some goofy activities. In this particular instance, he was seen squirting ketchup straight from the bottle into his mouth. The video shows him first shaking the bottle.
When he squeezes the ketchup bottle, it piles up on his tongue which makes for a visual that is equal parts fascinating and disgusting. The astronaut was well aware of the reaction this video could incite. In the caption, he writes that everyone to whom he has sent the video finds it either disgusting or awesome and that there is no in-between.
