Trump’s Air Force One Plane Made A U-Turn En Route Davos
According to NDTV, just an hour after take off for Davos, Donald Trump’s plane returned to Joint Base Andrews due to “a minor electrical issue”. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the Tuesday evening issue and said that the crew aboard Air Force One found some issue on the aircraft and, out of caution decided, to return the flight.
As per a reporter on Trump’s plane, the lights in the press cabin of the aircraft went out briefly after it departed for Switzerland. While there were no reasons given for this, they were informed half an hour later that the flight would be making a U-turn to Maryland, US.
According to NDTV, the two aircraft currently serving as Air Force One in the US have been in operation for nearly 40 years. Over the years, they have been extensively modified with advanced security and survival features, including radiation shielding and anti-missile systems. The planes are also equipped with sophisticated communication systems, allowing the US president to stay connected with the military and issue orders from anywhere in the world.
