USA’s Allegiant Air Flight Faced Severe Turbulence; 4 Injured, One Passenger Had Broken Skull

Allegiant Air is a low-cost carrier in the United States Of America. An unfortunate incident took place with one of its flights recently. According to reports, the flight witnessed severe turbulence. And passengers were left with injuries! It was one of the most horrifying experiences for passengers and crew members. Here are the details of turbulence faced by USA’s Allegiant Air flight.

An Allegiant Air flight travelling from North Carolina to Florida witnessed horrifying turbulence. Moreover, it resulted in gruesome injuries to the passengers and crew members, and they were left with ‘broken bones’. In fact, the flight took off from North Carolina and was hit by turbulence on its way to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport in Florida.

According to the Independent report, the plane was carrying 179 passengers and six crew members. During the turbulence, four passengers were injured, two passengers and two flight attendants. Additionally, a flight attendant was thrown on the plane’s floor after being flung into the air.

As for the passenger who had to use the lavatory, she had an injured skull with blood gushing out!

Medical Care For The Injured Passengers

According to the airline, the flight was taxied to the gate after landing normally. For the injured passengers, medical personnel were waiting at the gate. The flight attendants and passengers, who were injured, were rushed to the hospital. However, there is no update on their health conditions.

According to a passenger, the experience was “petrifying” and looked nothing less than a sci-fi movie. She further stated that they had slight turbulence around halfway through their descent. The stewardess sitting next to us immediately dropped to the ground. She literally shot up in the air for a split second before landing on her feet and breaking an ankle.

Another passenger, who bore witness to the situation, stated a woman who was in the lavatory at the time of the turbulence exited. She sat down behind him with a massive bloody laceration on her right eyebrow.

Allegiant Air claims that they are looking into the incident “in coordination” with the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
