According to a report by India.com, the Uttar Pradesh Excise Department announced the prohibition of sale and operations of liquor in the state on March 10. In case there’s a violation, strict action will be taken. The Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh imposed a complete ban on selling, buying and consuming liquor in the state.

Over 75,000 Police Officers Deployed to Maintain Law & Order
Moreover, UP ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar revealed to media agencies that 75,000 civil police work has been deployed to maintain law and order. Vote counting in all 403 constituencies in 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh began at 8 am on March 10. The votes in the EVMS will be counted after the postal ballots.
