Indian Railways has now launched its much-awaited ‘Shri Ramayana Yatra’ tour of 17 days and 16 nights. The special spiritual tour will cover sacred places in both India and Nepal associated with Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. The tour is all set to start on March 30. Indian Railways Popular Ramayana Tour Covers Sacred Destinations 

Spiritual tourism is gaining immense popularity in India. Many people these days enjoy visiting spiritual places more than other destinations. If you are one of them, then this ‘Shri Ramayana Yatra’ tour by Indian Railways is enough to make you interested.

It is one of IRCTC’s most popular tour itineraries by the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train. The tour will cover sacred places in both India and Nepal associated with the life of Lord Rama, also known as Maryada Purushottam Ram, and Goddess Sita. According to the IRCTC Tourism website, the tour will be 17 days and 16 nights long. It will cover sacred places like:

  • Ayodhya: Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi, Ram Ki Paidi
  • Nandigram: Bharat-Hanuman Temple and Bharat Kund
  • Janakpur (Nepal): Ram Janaki Mandir, Dhanush Dham temple and Parashuram Kund
  • Sitamarhi (Bihar): Janaki Mandir and Punaura Dham
  • Buxar: Ram Rekha Ghat, Rameshwar Nath Temple
  • Varanasi: Tulsi Manas temple, Sankat Mochan temple, Kashi Vishwanath temple & Ganga Aarti
  • Sitamarhi (Uttar Pradesh): Sita Samahit Sthal (Sita Mata temple)
  • Prayagraj: Triveni Sangam, Hanuman Temple and Bharadwaj Ashram
  • Shringverpur: Shring Rishi Temple
  • Chitrakoot: Gupt Godavari, Ram Ghat and Sati Anusuya Temple
  • Nashik: Trayambkeshwar temple, Panchvati (Sita gufa & Kalaram temple)
  • Hampi: Anjanadri Hill, Virupaksha temple & Vitthal Temple
  • Rameswaram: Ramanathaswamy temple and Dhanushkodi

Ticket Prices And Other Key Details 

The tour is all set to start from March 30, 2026. The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train comes well-equipped with modern amenities to make the journey comfortable for passengers. The train will have three categories of accommodation: First AC, Second AC and Third AC. According to NDTV, the coaches feature a modern kitchen, two restaurants, sensor-based washroom functions, shower cubicles in coaches, and more.

The journey will start from Delhi and return to Delhi after 17 days. The price per person for the journey is listed below:

  • Superior (AC First Class): starting at ₹1,62,470
  • Deluxe (AC II Tier): starting at ₹1,48,755
  • Comfort (AC III Tier): starting at ₹1,11,630
