Uttarakhand Woman Sent Chutney To PM Once; Gets Invited To Red Fort For Independence Day

This year, at least eight people of the schemes run by the central government in Uttarakhand have been invited as special guests to New Delhi. They are invited to witness the grand Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort on August 15. Among these, a woman is also the lucky one, and it is said that she once sent chutney to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

There are roughly 1,700 recipients of various central flagship programs from all over the nation. This includes the Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, Amrit Sarovar Yojna, etc. These beneficiaries have been invited to hear Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort.

A Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) recipient, Bharat Singh Rautela, is also one of the lucky ones. He hails from rural Bhatwari’s Jhala hamlet in the Uttarkashi district. Singh expressed his happiness at being one of the invited guests to attend the celebrations at Red Fort. He will be attending with his wife, Sunita Rautela. 

He claimed that after receiving a letter from PM Narendra Modi, his FPO Upla ‘Taknor Krishak Utpadak Sangathan Swayatt Sahkarita had already submitted Chutney to the PM. Their village’s Gram Pradhan received a letter from the PM that mentioned his FPO’s Chutney.

Itinerary For Privileged Visitors

The national government’s invitation to Indians from all walks of life to participate in the festivities was made in keeping with its “Jan Bhagidari” vision. 

The National War Memorial and the Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya (Prime Minister’s Museum) in New Delhi are also on the itinerary for the privileged visitors.

A Jal Jeevan Mission beneficiary named Bhavna Sharma expressed her joy at being invited to the I-Day celebrations. 

Bhavna oversees training for female members of the Village Water Sanitation Committee. She said that she organizes awareness campaigns for clean water.

Dinesh Chandra Tripathi manages a Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) with 521 farmers. He is one of the residents of the state invited to the celebrations. He expressed his excitement at hearing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be speaking live from the ramparts of Red Fort. For him and his wife, Reenu Tripathi, it was a proud occasion, he said.
