Skiing Winter Carnival To Start Soon In Auli 

Auli, located at an altitude of over 2,500 metres, is a stunning skiing destination and a popular hill station in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The place has hosted many national and international winter sports competitions in the past. Now, thrill-seekers get ready, as the Auli Skiing Winter Carnival and National Games Competition 2026 is here.

According to The Times of India, the event will be held from February 13 to 16. It will feature national-level competitions in alpine skiing, snowboarding and ski mountaineering. But that is not all. If you are planning to attend, get ready to witness vibrant cultural programmes, including Garhwali and Kumaoni folk performances. Sounds interesting, right?

Full Schedule Of The Carnival

According to a report by The Times of India, the schedule includes participant registration and cultural programmes on February 13. This will be followed by alpine skiing, ski mountaineering, sprint events and snowboarding on February 14 and 15. The winter carnival will conclude on February 16, when authorities will distribute prizes along with a formal closing ceremony.

This skiing carnival in Auli is expected to attract many thrill-seekers from across the country. Reportedly, the main aim of the event is not just to boost tourism but also to blend winter sports with local culture at this popular hill station. The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council (UTDC) has also held a review meeting to discuss arrangements, safety measures and participant facilities.
