The morning of Friday did not start on a good note for the Bollywood movie fans and the industry. The veteran actor Junior Mehmood took his last breath in the early hours of December 8 at his home. He was suffering terribly from stage four stomach cancer and other severe health issues before passing away on Friday. We are saddened to hear about the unfortunate loss of his family.

Actor Junior Mehmood Died At The Age Of 67

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Aamir khan (@AamirFan7862) shared a post about the late actor passing away after battling stage four stomach cancer.

It was around 2 AM on December 8, 2023, when the actor passed away, according to a report by India Today. Junior Mehmood is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson. He was only 67 years old when the world got to know about this saddening news. The actor’s real name was Naeem Sayyed. In a conversation with indianexpress.com, his younger son, Husnain, shared how the family got to know about the actor’s deteriorating health due to stage four stomach cancer just about 18 days ago.

Hearing about his physical state, Junior Mehmood’s family took him to the Tata Memorial Hospital. The dean of the hospital said that the process of chemotherapy and treatment gets severely painful at such a scary stage. Also, the hospital suggested the family members take the actor back to their home and take good care of him.

Junior Mehmood acted in more than 260 movies in his entire filming career. It has been a spectacular career for him to act in so many films alongside the biggest names in the Bollywood industry. Well, not just in the Hindi film industry, but he featured in movies in seven languages in a career of around 40 years. Some of his most loved and hit movies are Aaj Ka Arjun, Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri, Brahmachari, Caravan, Do Aur Do Paanch, Geet Gaata Chal, Hare Raama Hare Krishna, Judaai, Kati Patang, and Mera Naam Joker.

Even if you have not watched these immensely popular Bollywood movies, you surely have heard all these names from your parents and grandparents. All the elder members of your family have surely loved watching these Hindi films and they still enjoy these movies even after so many years.

The actor was a household name back in the 60s and 70s for his childhood performances in superhit and blockbuster Hindi movies.
