Vikas Khanna Pays Heartfelt Tribute To Late Sister Radha On Her Birthday With Motichoor Ladoos At Bungalow

Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna shared a video of celebrating his late sister Radha’s 51st birthday with the first anniversary of his restaurant, Bungalow, by treating guests to Motichoor Laddos. The day was both a time of happiness and sorrow, but it turned into a celebration of Radha’s memory of her love for food and their shared memories.

For Vikas Khanna, food has been a means of showing love, and this day was no different. Reminiscing about a childhood memory, he narrated a touching tale of how he and Radha had once devoured a whole box of Bansal Motichoor Ladoos that was intended for a family friend. That mischievous but affectionate moment was the inspiration for the showpiece dessert for guests at Bungalow.

As a tribute to her memory, every guest at the restaurant was treated to her favourite Motichoor Ladoos, making the event one of remembrance, love, and nostalgia.

Whereas Radha’s absence was sorely felt, Vikas Khanna decided to commemorate her life instead of grieving her loss. The restaurant’s anniversary gave an added touch to the day, as it became a day of thanksgiving and reminiscence.

He described how happiness, pain, grief, and joy could be channelled into love and thus Radha’s soul shall forever shine in his work and gestures.

The celebration at Bungalow was not merely a birthday or anniversary—it was about keeping relationships alive, reliving moments, and how to keep loved ones alive in spirit.

By offering Radha’s favourite sweets to the guests, Vikas Khanna made her love for food an integral part of his life. In a world where everything is so fast-paced, slowing down for a moment to pay tribute to those whom we love with the smallest yet most significant gestures is so special.

Maybe, in our own lives, we can do the same thing—to honour the people we miss, not just in big gestures, but in small, meaningful ways that bring their spirit back to us.
