The post read that he saw a double rainbow over the city and the memorial lights hitting the skyline. It was a reminder of the dark day that they survived. He further recalled that he used to work at a restaurant just a few blocks away from the trade centre. He had arrived at the restaurant at 9:00 am to open it. The attack that shook the United States of America is not unknown to the world. It was a planned strike by the hijackers who crashed planes into the Twin Towers of New York’s World Trade Centre. The collapse of the Twin Towers caused hundreds of thousands of tonnes of poisonous material to be dispersed across Lower Manhattan. This debris contained more than 2,500 pollutants, including known carcinogens. People who were at Ground Zero are said to have developed deadly or crippling illnesses as a result of exposure to the poisons in the wreckage.

Many memorial services and vigils were conducted worldwide in the days after the attacks, and pictures of the deceased and unaccounted-for were displayed all around Ground Zero.
