Another day began with alarming news of a bomb alert on a flight. According to several reports, a Vistara Frankfurt-Mumbai flight received a bomb threat. 147 people were onboard the aircraft while getting the security threat on social media. Following the shocking incident, the aircraft made an emergency landing at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport early morning of October 17.
Vistara Frankfurt-Mumbai Flight Made Emergency Landing
Different airlines have become victims of security threats and bomb alerts in the past few days. One of these recent incidents has been reported after a similar alert on Boeing 787 carrying 134 passengers and 13 cabin crew members. On Wednesday, the Mumbai-bound Vistara flight took off from Frankfurt at 8:20 PM (local time), according to a report by Business Today. On its way to its destination, the aircraft made an emergency landing in Mumbai.
Releasing a statement, an airline spokesperson shared that Vistara flight UK 028 received a security threat on social media. It landed in Mumbai at 7:45 AM the next morning. It was a safe landing. According to necessary protocols, concerned departments and authorities were notified about the terrifying security threat. Following the landing, the relevant team took the aircraft to the isolation bay.
Everyone present on the flight, including passengers and crew, disembarked safely at the isolation bay. In addition, officials conducted security checks to ensure smooth operations. The airline stated that it started working with security agencies for mandatory security checks.

Unfortunately, this incident of a flight receiving a bomb threat is not new news this week. It was just a couple of days ago when IndiGo Mumbai-Muscat and Mumbai-Jeddah flights received bomb threats. These aircraft received bomb threats just minutes before takeoff on October 14. These flights were taken to the isolated bay for the necessary security protocols. Right before this episode of security threats, a Mumbai-New York Air India flight was rerouted to Delhi.
